Mary Beth O. Helton, MD

Mary Beth Ogle Helton, MDDr. Mary Beth O. Helton is a native of Cary, North Carolina. Dr. Helton attended Meredith College in Raleigh. She received her bachelors degree in Science with a double major in Biology and Chemistry. She graduated in 1990 with honors. She then attended East Carolina University School of Medicine and completed her medical degree in 1994. She finished her pediatric training in 1997 after completing her residency at the Children's Hospital of Eastern NC/PCMH in Greenville, North Carolina.  Dr. Helton is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is Board Certified in Pediatrics.  She received the William E. Laupus Pediatric award. In 2001, Dr. Helton joined Jeffers, Mann and Artman Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. Her special interests include but are not limited to ADHD, asthma, adolescents and issues of first time parents.

Dr. Helton is married to Todd E. Helton, MD, PhD, an internist in Raleigh. They have two beautiful children, Anna Elizabeth and Edward. They are active members of White Memorial Presbyterian Church. Dr. Helton enjoys spending time with her family and friends, working outside, oil painting and the beach.
