Klara Messaging
As your medical home, JMA Pediatrics is excited to announce we have incorporated a communication platform called "Klara". Klara is a HIPAA-compliant, two-way messaging platform that works with our current telephone triage process to simplify electronic communication between JMA Pediatrics and the patient/parent/guardian. Our goal is to offer convenient, exceptional patient experience, and we're confident that Klara will allow us to achieve this.
Within the Klara communication platform, your patient/child's personal health information is confidential, encrypted and safe!
Klara Functionality
You and JMA will have the ability to text regarding the below:
- Nurse advice
- Prescription refills
- Future lab reminders
- Appointment reminders
- Pre-Visit information
- Referral updates
- Patient billing information
How to Get Started
Please make sure you use your child's/patient's date of birth to set up Klara accounts.
The Klara App
- Go to the app store on your device or phone and install Klara. It is free!
- Add this information in your personal contacts.
- When you get a text message back from Klara, you will click the link and type in your child's/patient's birth date and the communication thread is all set!
- When you receive the message, it will indicate it is from JMA Pediatrics.
On this Website
- Click on the top right corner of our website "Message Us on Klara".
- Enter your phone number and click "Submit".
- A 4-digit code will be sent to you to load, and press "Enter".
- Click the arrow to the right to select the patient/child you would like to communicate about.
- To confirm the patient, enter the patient's/child's DOB (Month, Day, Year).
- Check "Remember this device" for 30 days if this is a trusted device.
- Uncheck "Remember this device" if this is not a trusted device.
- Click "Confirm".
- You are ready to message JMA.
